Inspiration
No, I have not lost my mind - err - completely. I just stole this pic from Lelly, Sangria Times, because she had a BRILLIANT idea. Use this picture as inspiration to get back in shape. Get it? Each time you want to sit on the couch drinking cherry coke and eating a box of krispy kreme doughnuts, look at this picture and you will be inspired to go for a walk - or so we hope LOL. Now I am not what I would call overweight. I am, however, what I would call OUT OF SHAPE. I am 5'9 with a very narrow frame, and all of my life I have been able to eat exactly what I wanted, not exercise at all, and stay thin. Well, let's just say, not anymore. I am on a six week mission to get in shape so I can be somewhat happy about putting on a bathing suit. I know I will never look like I did when I was 21, but I would at least like to try on a bathing suit without becoming severely depressed. I started on January 24, and I will write some about my progress between now and my goal date of March 6. Wish me luck!!!

I had to laugh because you said, "each time you want to sit on the coach", would that be the hunky guy in the picture? Perhaps a studly exercise coach? LOL....I may have to steal this pic too, for inspiration. Good luck with your healthy living plan! ;o)
Sherry just made me crack up at myself. Whether you want to sit on the "coach" or the "couch" - you should be WALKING!!!!!

Hi, just out reading journals and came across yours...Good Luck on meeting your goals...you can do it. I am trying to do the same...Not obese, but as you say, out of shape and I could lose a few pounds.
OMG Ash I was laughing so hard about the coach thing!!!! Good Luck on your mission and I will be here cheering you on! Linda
Congrats on being an editor's pick. -Dawn-
I love your journal so happy that you are one of the choices of the guest editor.
Take up swimming. It is the cure all for everything -- and I do mean, EVERYTHING. I am 59-years-old. I am the same 110 lbs that I was 20 years ago. I eat anything I want, from apple turnovers to veggie burgers smothered in slaw and mayo. (I don't eat meat). An hour of laps in the pool will make you feel better than 16-years-old! Your legs wil feel like spring coils, your whole body like it is ready for the Olympics! To quote, Irene Cara, "What A Feeling!"
When you feel physically feel great, your also feel mentally great. Swimming cures any kind of "depression" or blahs. Get out there. Move your whole body and the water will carry you along. You won't even feel like you are "exercising." Swimming is a natural "high" (in my mind, the greatest high in the world).
So, forget the "diets." Forget the boring exericse machines. And most of all, forget all the crap that they try to sell you on TV or in magazines. Water is God's greatest gift to us. No plant, animal or human can live without it. Experience how great it really is when you're in and MOVING with it! -- Good luck!

Congrats on being an editors pick!!
If i was that girl in the pic i'd be sitting on the couch eating the krispe kreme cause she's a little too thin. but i suppose it depends on individual taste, but i don't think there's anything wrong with being a curvy girlie. i love my shape and butt, but don't tell my bf. he's supposed to tell me how amazing i look when i say i look fat! lol!
