Apparently, offense taken
Judging by a couple of emails I recieved (people reading my journal that I have never even heard of), my rant on the whole welfare situation "offended" a few. This is AOL journals I am writing in ,people, not the New York Times. Furthermore, I have a right to my opinion and I have a right to express that opinion in my blog. See the X in the top right corner of the screen? ;)

Seems to be alot of that crap going on here...that is so stupid...I think you have the right to feel what you want and they do too...but they don't have to be an ass!!! They are more than likely the one who are working the system like you said..there are those who need and those who will take just to take...we all know this! Don't feel bad...I seem to offend people too and don't even know it til I get some nasty email or get blocked from their journal..LOL...I hope things are going good for you! Big hugs,TerryAnn
you are right, this is your blog and you can say whatever you want too.
I used to work in a grocery store and I saw abuse of the system a lot. And I also saw people that needed it and would try to squeeze every last penny out of their "stamps".
I also saw people doing an elderly person's shopping for them and they would pay with that person's stamps. with the person you observed, I can honestly say that she could fall under any of the categories above. Well, not the one about squeezing every last penny because if that was the case, she wouldn't be driving a new yukon.....
Take care and don't let what others say get to you....just be you and keep your head up!

Oh piss on them, I know exactly what you are talking about, I know several people from here at home that work the system and are wearing top of the top driving top of the top while Justin works his ass off to most of the time barely scrape by. I WISH we qualified for something but we dont, we make to much. (i have checked into it), Hell I even know women here who pop out kids like its cool just to get a few extra dollars from the system and hit the yet another different dad where it hurts financially. If people are offended by reality so be it. Maybe they need to open their eyes and see whats really going on.

Amen to that, Ash! We have the right to write whatever we want in our own journals. Like you said, if people don't like it, they can hit the red X in the corner. The only time I think anyone needs to stand up and make themselves known is if a journaler is mentioning their name or talking about them in a derogatory way. Otherwise..it's fair game.
Either deal with it.. or hit the red X and move on!

Who gives a shit what they said to you in their emails! This is your space to use as you please! You go girl! That X is very easy to click if it is that bothering to someone! I think some people have far to much time on their hands to take the time out of their day to send you a email about something you wrote in your own space! I don't know about you (but pretty sure it is the same) but I don't have enough time in a day to do all I need to do as it is, let alone a few minutes extra to judge someone elses opinions on there journal lol!
